RESUMEN

El nuevo concepto de España, que los liberales reunidos en las Cortes de Cádiz de 1812 querían fundar o creían estar fundando, no era un artefacto conceptual creado de la nada o procedente sólo de las lecturas del pensamiento político foráneo. Estaba ya presente en la obra de muchos de ellos en 1808, al comienzo de la guerra, y era también fruto de sus lecturas de la historia de España, de una memoria histórica que nunca fue unívoca.

ABSTRACT

The new concept of Spain, which the liberal politicals assembled in the Spanish Parliament of Cadiz of 1812 want to found or thought that they were founding, was not ideas created of nowhere or which proceed only of the readings of the polítical foreign thought. It was already present in the work of many of them in 1808, at the beginning of the war, and was also a fruit of theirs readings of the history of Spain, of a historical
